After five tough games the Boston Celtics took game six with ease. The young Rondo started it early with several steals in the first quarter and though his shooting early in the game wasn’t as hot Rondo would finish with 21 points. Ray Allen overcame family issues and an eye injury from early on in the game due to a uncalled foul by Odom to gain 26 points and Garnett proved strong with yet another double double. The star of the whole series Paul Pierce also saw a double double.
This is the first time in 22 years that the Celtics have won the NBA title. Not only that, this win stopped Phil Jackson from becoming tied with a former Celtics legendary coach as the winningest coaching champion.
