If Miley Cyrus sounds angry on her new single “7 Things” there’s a reason for that. The teen discussed with Ryan Seacrest that hate was her intention. The single goes indepth of the things Cyrus hate in boys. They never touched on supposed ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas or these infamous pics (http://marcelmagazine.wordpress.com/2008/04/26/miley-cyrus-growing-up-too-fast/). Raw Results: 6-26-08
June 25, 2008It was a special three hour edition of Monday Night Raw this Monday due to the draft. Every superstar was in attendance as they didn’t quite know who would be drafted. The evening started out with the drafting of CM Punk to Raw. Jeff Hardy was drafted to Smackdown and then fought in a on the spot match up with his brother Matt against the tag team champions The Miz and Morrison. Everything was going well for the Hardy Boys until Miz and Morrison began to cheat. The match ended with “The Shaman of Sexy” grabbing Matt Hardy’s trunks and grabbing the one, two, three with them. ECW was awarded their one and only draft pick-U.S. champion Matt Hardy.
ECW champion Kane was later drafted to Raw and the Big Show to Smackdown which is interesting because this ruins the hopes of the ECW title being on ECW for some time since the two are set to meet each other at Night of Champions. Our guess is that Mark Henry will get his wish and actually win the title back to ECW.
The Divas were in action to determine whom among the announcers would be drafted. The match ended abruptly when Victoria pushed Melina off of the turnbuckle and Melina appearantly sprained her ankle. The referee decided both Smackdown and Raw would get a draft. Jim Ross was draft to Smackdown breaking the legendary pairing with Jerry “The King” Lawler. Michael Cole was then drafted to Raw.
John Cena secured another draft pick for Raw when he faced Edge who decided to give up on the match and be counted out. Raw drafted “The Animal” Batista. This is interesting because the World championship may end up on Raw now after Night of Champions.
Finally, the main event was a battle royal with fifteen members (5 per brand). After a hard fought battle it came down to the Big Show (SD), John Cena (Raw), HHH (Raw), and Edge. Cena and HHH worked together to finally get the Big Show out of the competition but then Cena betrayed Triple H and threw him over. The refreshed Edge ever the opportunist then tossed Cena over winning two draft picks for Smackdown. The first pick was Mrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Kennedy, Kennedy! and the second was the biggest of the night-”The Game” Triple H!
Mr. McMahon also continued his Million dollar giveaway this week. One lucky fan won actually while at the show-$100,000 richer now. And the luckiest of all was the $500,000 winner of the night that closed off Raw.
All in all this years draft was amazing. For the first time in draft history announcers and champions switched brands. We hope the WWE keeps this going for years to come.
