LA Will Pay For Jackson’s Memorial
July 16, 2009Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa of LA said that they will not be collecting any further donations to help pay off the cost of the memorial for Michael Jackson last Tuesday. He called the city’s website for donation ridiculous. He said LA would pay off the costs as other big cities pay for similar events each and every year. He additionally said that the Jacksons and AEG Live won’t be charged as well.
Obama Surprised
July 16, 2009As President Obama was giving a speech a teleprompter crashed to the floor of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in the White House. Obama was surprised a bit, as were the mayors and other elected officials in the room who just laughed. Obama uses teleprompters for big speeches and some smaller one as well.

Bush Discusses US Pullout Plan In Iraq
August 23, 2008President Bush and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki discussed the US pullout plan via securd video recently. The plan as stated now (though negoiations are still taking place) means that US troops will withdraw from the major Iraqi cities as early as June of next year and withdraw from borders as soon as 2011. This would conclude the costly war that started in 2003.

Zagunis Wins First US Gold
