After five tough games the Boston Celtics took game six with ease. The young Rondo started it early with several steals in the first quarter and though his shooting early in the game wasn’t as hot Rondo would finish with 21 points. Ray Allen overcame family issues and an eye injury from early on in the game due to a uncalled foul by Odom to gain 26 points and Garnett proved strong with yet another double double. The star of the whole series Paul Pierce also saw a double double.
This is the first time in 22 years that the Celtics have won the NBA title. Not only that, this win stopped Phil Jackson from becoming tied with a former Celtics legendary coach as the winningest coaching champion. The final score when it was all said in done in true Celtics style was a commanding 131-92. Watch it unfold today on www.nba.com.

It was a quick start for the Los Angeles Lakers moving to an early 19 point lead in the first quarter. Bryant alone had 15 points in the quarter after four 3 pointers. The second quarter saw the Celtics battling back bringing the score close by the end of the half. The biggest play of the game came at the last few mintues when Kobe Bryant picked Paul Pierce (who had an impressive 37 points and 8 assists) and got a lob pass for an easy dunk pushing the game from a two point game into a four point game.
Allen and his crew tried hard to take the lead but with foul trouble plaguing him, Garnett and Pierce at this point it was tough for the Celtics to play the hard defense that they are known for. Allen would eventually foul out before the end of the game much to the delight of the Laker fans who cheered MVP as Kobe Bryant sunk the final two nails in the coffen for a 103-98 game five victory.
Game 6 is Tuesday, 9 pm Est. @ Boston. Expect the Celtics to squeeze through with a victory as history would suggest will happen.

It would become the biggest come back in NBA final history. Down but not out Paul Pierce and Ray Allen engineered a stellar comeback, one that most players only dream about. The Celtic took this one 97-91 and now lead with a commanding 3-1. This could be the start of a new powerhouse dynasty within the NBA.

It was another spanking for the LA Lakers in game two. They were unable to contain Leon Powe and paid the cost for it. He led his Celtics to a commanding 108-102 victory. The series is now heading toward the west in Hollywood with the Boston Celtics up 2-0 over the Los Angeles Lakers.
